Sony Ericsson W980i is a flip Walkman mobile phone that provides high music experience to its user that features two Sony audio technologies which are Clear Stereo and Clear Bass; music recognition via TrackID; Shake control and 8 GB internal storage that capable to store up to 8000 songs (eAAC+ format).

Features

The W980i is built with a 240 x 320 pixels, 2.2 inches TFT screen that provides 256K colours. There is a second external TFT display that features 256K colours (176 x 176 pixels). It is also built with 8 GB shared memory. In terms of connectivity, this phone enables to connect via Class 10 (4+1/3+2 slots), 32 - 48 kbps GPRS; HSCSD; Class 10, 236.8 kbps EDGE; HSDPA 3.6 Mbps; Bluetooth 2.0; and USB 2.0. There is a 3.15 MP, 2048x1536 pixels, video camera and also a secondary video call camera. This Walkman phone features Walkman player interface for music navigation. It also features Clear Stereo and Clear Bass for high sound quality. Plus, the built-in FM transmitter lets user to send music saved to other FM receiver devices. The flight mode feature inactivates radio transmitters and receivers so that some functions can be used in places such as planes and hospitals. Walk Mate application provides step counter and stays activated throughout the day. Other features include Java MIDP 2.0, FM transmitter, FM radio with RDS, TrackID music recognition, Shake control, T9, image viewer, picture editor, organiser, voice memo and built-in hands-free.
