Features

The Panasonic HDC-SD100 features 3 separate MOS sensors for processing to draw out the full-HD image quality. It features progressive 1080/25p format (25 pictures per second) video shooting in its Digital Cinema mode. The HD camcorder uses a Leica Dicomar lens which uses multi-coating process that eliminate light reflection, glare, rings of light or “ghosts”. Panasonic’s Advanced O.I.S. has an image stabilizing function which provides around eight times higher precision. In addition to this, this feature detects hand-shakes around 500 times per second and works around 4,000 times per second. This camcorder offers high quality wide images using its 2.7 inches wide, 300,000-pixel screen which frame shots when shooting in 16:9 mode. The Panasonic HDC-SD100 offers Face Detection technology which adjusts exposure according to the ambient brightness, detects five faces at one time and capture faces and clear backgrounds in dim or backlit scenes. This camcorder features high-speed burst shooting at 24 frames per second. The Intelligent contrast control produces shots with proper contrast by preventing blown highlights and blocked shadows. The Panasonic HDC-SD100 offers 5.1 channel surround sound with zoom and focus electret condenser microphones which captures all sounds that match with HD images. This camcorder has pre-rec function which records three seconds of images before the start of shooting. The images are held temporarily in the camcorder’s internal memory before recording onto the SDHC/SD Memory Card or hard disk begins. This camcorder features HD Writer 2.5E software which allows editing of photos using a PC and copying of videos or shots onto a DVD disc in AVCHD or MPEG2 format.

Additional Features

The Panasonic HDC-SD100 offers to connect the camcorder to an HDTV via a single HDMI mini cable. The SDHC/SD Memory Card from the camcorder allows direct view on Panasonic VIETA PZ850 series or Blu-ray Disc Player BD30 card slot. This camcorder has a world timer function which allows time setting for two cities, home and destination. This camcorder is measured at (W x H x D) 65 x 72 x 138 mm.
