  • excelent built in microphone, great bargin for price, 42x zoom is amazing, takes really good video, great hdd space

Features

The Panasonic SDR-H40 features a digital palmcorder or camcorder with 42x zoom lens which allows close-ups or clear distant subjects. The camcorder uses a Leica Dicomar lens which uses multi-coating process that eliminate light reflection, glare, rings of light or “ghosts”. Panasonic’s Advanced O.I.S. has an image stabilizing function which provides around eight times higher precision. In addition to this, this feature detects hand-shakes around 500 times per second and works around 4,000 times per second. This camcorder offers high quality wide images using its 2.7 inches wide, 300,000-pixel screen which frame shots when shooting in 16:9 mode. This camcorder has pre-rec function which records three seconds of images before the start of shooting. The images are held temporarily in the camcorder’s internal memory before recording onto the SDHC/SD Memory Card or 40GB hard disk begins. This camcorder features VideoCam suite 1.0 software which allows editing of photos using a PC and copying of videos or shots onto a DVD disc in AVCHD or MPEG2 format.

Additional Features

The Panasonic SDR-H40 features anti-shock shield for the hard disk which protects recorded video data from damage due to jolts and impact. The one-touch DVD copy function allows direct connection to a DVD burner via a USB cable. This camcorder is measured at (W x H x D) 67 x 70 x 116 mm.
