The Sony DCR-HC62 features 1 Megapixel (Gross) Advanced HAD (Hole Accumulation Diode) CCD with 690K pixels which shoots video of up to 520 lines of horizontal resolution and detailed still image performance. It offers 25x Optical / 2000x Digital Zoom which brings the action close up from far away with less distortion. This camcorder has a 2.7 Touch Panel SwivelScreen LCD screen which displays multiple viewing angles of up to 270 degrees. The Sony DCR-HC62 offers picture stabilization system that uses motion sensors to detect and corrects camera shakes that affect picture quality. The Tele Macro Mode shoots close-up shots and prevents the camcorder from casting a shadow on the subject. This camcorder has the Super NightShot Plus Infrared System which uses a slow shutter mode to allow video shooting in total darkness. The camcorder offers picture effect mode which allows creativity when recording or playing back videos. The Fader effects add professional looking fader effects from black and white onto personal videos. In addition to this, this camcorder features on screen zoom and record buttons on the frame of the LCD screen which allows flexible holding of the camcorder in overhead or low angle shots. It also features Stamina Battery Power Management System which prolongs the battery life for extra long continuous recording times from a single charge.
