Features

The EOS 50D consists of a 22.3 x 14.9 mm CMOS sensor which can provide a resolution of 15.1-megapixel. It is incorporated with Digic IV processor. By having this processor, it can provide continuous shooting of 6.3 fps. Furthermore, advanced image processing algorithms are used to ensure precise, natural colors, accurate white balance, and advanced noise reduction The EOS Integrated Cleaning System has been enhanced by having a self cleaning sensor unit with a new fluorine coating. This design helps to reduce, repel and remove dust from sensor, hence increase protection of image quality. The EOS 50D has a 3.0 inch VGA LCD screen with Live View shooting. The Live View mode is able display a real-time image on the LCD screen. There are three ways to auto focus: Quick AF, Live AF and new Face Detection Live AF. Besides, it offers sensitivity range of ISO 100 to ISO 3200. Its image data is stored in UDMA card. There is a HDMI output to allow image viewing on a High Definition TV as well. The EOS 50D is compatible with Canon EF/ EF-S lenses and EX-series Speedlites. Its body measures 146 x 108 x 74 mm (5.7 x 4.2 x 2.9 in). It weighs 730 g without battery and 822 g with battery.
