The Canon PowerShot A470 has a 3.4x optical zoom lens which offers zoom range equivalent to 38-132mm on a 35mm camera. Furthermore, it offers a maximum of 4x digital zoom. The face detection technology can automatically set focus on faces in the image area base on exposure, flash and white balance. It can detect up to nine forward human faces in the frame. Moreover, the Motion Detection Technology can track moving subjects by reducing blur, selecting the optimum exposure and ISO settings automatically. The DIGIC III (Digital Imaging Core) image processor reduces image noise without resolution and color integrity degradation. In terms of image shooting, the Canon PowerShot A470 enables vertical shooting by just one-touch on the Print/Share Button. It displays the scene in the proper vertical orientation. Furthermore, the Print/Share Button enables direct printing and downloading. The standard package comes with 2x AA-size alkaline battery, a 32M SD Memory Card, WS800 wrist strap, a Digital Camera solution CD-ROM, a USB interface cable, and a AV Cable AVC-DC300. Its supported image storages are SD/SDHC Memory Card, MultiMediaCard, MMC Plus Card, HC MMC Plus Card. The USB 2.0 High Speed port supports direct connection to Canon SELPHY Compact Photo Printers, PIXMA Photo Printers and PictBridge-compatible printers.
