Features

The A590 IS is equipped with a 4x optically stabilized zoom lens, with an equivalent range of 35-140 mm. It utilizes Digic III image processing technology which can enhance face detection feature. This can assures natural-looking images. Besides, its optical image stabilization system can shift lens elements to help reduce image shake. It can also accept conversion lenses with an optional adapter that fits over the base of the original lens. As for auto focus feature, there are three basic AF modes available: Canon’s AiAF multi-point auto focus, Center AF and Face Detection AF. The Face Detection AF has been enhanced so that it not only recognizes, but also able to track multiple faces within a scene. The A590 IS has a 2.5-inch LCD screen, which has a resolution of 115,000 pixels. Furthermore, it incorporates a viewfinder. The A590 IS has a range of shooting modes, from manual to automatic. There is a Canon’s new Easy mode which is designed to simplify and automate photo-taking. It stores images on SD or SDHC memory stick. It measures 94.3 x 64.7 x 40.8 mm in dimension and weighs 175g.
