The Fujifilm S100fs captures images by a 2/3” Super CCD HR VIII image sensor, at 11-megapixels. It is coupled with a Fujinon manual lens, with 14.3x optical zoom. This lens offers an equivalent focal range from 28 mm to 400 mm and Super Macro focusing to 0.4-in. It is equipped with Fujifilm’s Dual Image Stabilization technology, which combines optical image stabilization and true manual zoom ring stabilization. This technology assures sharp, clean and blur-free images, even in low-light conditions. The S100fs incorporates Film Simulation Mode. This feature allows photographers to select the most appropriate type of film scene when shooting. The S100FS reproduces the color tones in three modes (PROVIA mode, Velvia mode and Soft mode). The three modes are immensely popular FUJIFILM color reversal films. Despites from Film Simulation Bracketing, the S100fs features Dynamic Range Bracketing and AE Bracketing. The S100fs additionally includes Aperture Priority and Shutter Priority exposure modes, which help in photographic controls. The S100fs is able to offer continuous shots up to 7 fps. It has a movie mode which can record movie at 30 fps in VGA quality. The 2.5-inch tilting LCD screen eases photographers to capture from a variety of shooting positions. Furthermore, it has a SD, SDHC, xD-Picture Card combo slot. This slot not only accepts Fujifilm’s traditional xD-Picture cards but also SD and SD-HC memory cards.
