The Lumix DMC-TZ5 employs Leica 28-280mm lens with 10x optical zoom. It is the first Panasonic digital camera with HD video capability. It can record HD 720p (1280 x 720 pixels) videos at 30 fps with an aspect ratio of 16:9. It utilizes Venus IV Engine processor. The Lumix DMC-TZ5 has a 3.0 inch LCD screen with a 460,000-dot resolution. It offers ISO sensitivity range of 400 to 1600. It is equipped with Mega O.I.S lens-shift stabilization system. This is an anti-shake system that can automatically compensate for camera shake. Its face detection feature can detect up to 15 faces, where the focus and exposure are adjusted accordingly. It can continuously capture at 6.0fps. Besides, the Lumix DMC-TZ5 offers Normal Picture mode, an Intelligent Auto mode, 24 scene modes, a Clipboard mode and a movie recording mode. Images can be taken in three aspect ratios (4:3, 3:2, 16:9). It store images on SD, SDHC or MMC memory card. The images can be transferred via USB2.0 at a rate of 2,739 KBytes/sec.
