Archos 605 WiFi is portable media player with 30GB, 80GB or 160 GB harddisk and 4GB flash. Its features are touch screen, WiFi capabilities for streaming and web-surfing.

The Archos 605 WiFi is equipped with a 4.3 inch touch screen with resolution up to 800 x 480 pixels. It is in a widescreen orientation and support 16 million colors. The Archos 605 WiFi supports photos, video, audio and subscription music. With the 30GB harddisk, it can store and play up to 40 movies, 300,000 photos or 15,000 songs. The supported video formats are MPEG-4, WMV and protected WMV. Whereas MPEG-2, VOB, H.264 format video can be played by having an optional plug-ins. Additionally, the videos are supported up to DVD resolution on the screen of 800 x 480 pixels resolution. There is a video recording function as well. As for music concern, the supported music files are MP3, WAV, WMA and protected WMA. By having enhanced ARCL library, the songs can be organized. Furthermore, the view for album, artist, type of music and title can be customized. Besides, photo support includes JPEG, BMP, and PNG. The photos can be viewed, zoomed and made into slide shows with music and transition effects. The Archos 605 WiFi features an onboard PDF reader for handling documents purpose. It is integrated with WiFi capabilities. Hence, it supports downloading movies and music directly and wirelessly by using the ARCHOS Content Portal. It is able to stream TV shows, movies and music as well. With the optional Web browser plug-in, it can be used for web-surfing and videos streaming from online videos sites. The battery life of Archos 605 WiFi supports up to 17.5 hours continuous audio playback and up to 5.5 hours of continuous video playback. It is designed to work with PCs (MTP or USB mode) as well as Macs and Linux machines (USB mode only). The 30GB Archos 605 WiFi measures 4.8 x 3.2 x 0.6 inches in dimension and weighs approximately 6.7 ounces.
