Pioneer PDP-LX5090 is a 50-inch 1080p HD Ready flat screen TV. It is one of the models in KURO (9th generation) series. It is designed in glossy black finish and features Signal Processing Drive 2HD, Direct Color Filter 3+, Deep Waffle Rib Structure, i-CLEAR Drive and Dynamic HD Converter among others.

Features

The PDP-LX5090 features Ultra Black panel that produces the deepest black tones on the display that provides enhanced color reproduction especially in dark scenes. Besides that, it features Signal Processing Drive 2HD which is a unique digital image processing engine that enables to process full digital image without numerous analogue-to-digital and digital-to-analogue conversions that defects the video quality. Furthermore, it also features Direct Color Filter 3+ that produces greater depth of color reproduction and structures better image details. Deep Waffle Rib Structure feature makes sure that each plasma cell is perfectly encapsulated on all sides thus increases the phosphorus surface area and results more vivid colors and increased brightness. Moreover, i-CLEAR Drive feature enhances the performance of multi-bit digital video processors to increase the range of color gradation levels. In addition, it also features Dynamic HD Converter that transforms interlaced PAL and NTSC video signals into progressive high resolution signals, using an algorithm that takes into account 84 surrounding cells which creates high resolution images. PAL 3D Y/C Separation separates the brightness and color information which eliminates any cross-color artifacts and cross-luminance problems. Other features included are Active Dynamic Range Expander, Intelligent Mode, Color Temperature Adjustment, Color Management, Digital CTI (Color Transient Improvement), Digital Flicker-Free, 3D Noise Reduction, Block Noise Reduction, Mosquito Noise Reduction, Analogue Tuner Noise Reduction, PureCinema, Dual Screen Mode (PaP), picture-in-Picture Mode (PiP), Still Picture and AV Selection. The PDP-LX5090 measures 1.233 x 723 x 93 mm in dimension (W x H x D) and weighs 33.5 kg.
